What you will do
- Manage and mentor a high-performance team of AI scientists and engineers, fostering innovation and continuous learning.
- Design and implement novel research ideas and ship state-of-the-art models to production.
- Lead scalable strategies for training frontier LLMs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across modelling, forward-deployed engineering, and solutions architecture.
- Maintain deep connections to academia and government to stay at the cutting edge of AI research.
Requirements
- PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field, with publications in top-tier venues (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR).
- Deep expertise in LLMs and a strong understanding of the latest research trends.
- Prior experience managing a team of engineers and/or scientists.
- Strong software engineering skills with proficiency in Python and PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar frameworks.
- Experience with distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and scalable architectures.
- Canadian citizenship and eligibility for security clearance.
