About the Role
You'll design and build robust, scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js and TypeScript. You'll develop and maintain React-based frontend interfaces that are performant and maintainable. You'll collaborate closely with product and design to shape features from discovery to delivery, and take ownership of work end-to-end — scoping, building, shipping, and monitoring. You'll contribute to CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure, write secure, well-tested production-ready code, participate in code reviews and architectural discussions, and help maintain reliability and observability of production systems — responding to incidents when they occur.
Requirements
- Production-proven experience with Node.js and TypeScript
- Solid React.js experience building and maintaining frontend applications
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) in production
- Working understanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment practices
- Security-conscious approach to development
- Genuine sense of ownership and ability to work closely with product teams
- AWS experience (preferred)
- Terraform experience (preferred)
- Kubernetes experience (preferred)
- Experience in fintech, payments, transactions, or regulated financial systems (preferred)
- Based in or willing to relocate to Amsterdam, Netherlands (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Design and build robust, scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js and TypeScript
- Develop and maintain React-based frontend interfaces
- Collaborate with product and design to shape features from discovery through delivery
- Own work end-to-end: scope, build, ship, and monitor features
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and cloud infrastructure
- Write secure, well-tested, production-ready code
- Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions
- Maintain reliability and observability of production systems and respond to incidents
