Project Manager (Property Tax Software)

TL;DR

Project Manager (Property Tax Software): Managing internal and external client projects of various sizes and complexities with an accent on planning, execution, stakeholder communication, and risk mitigation. Focus on developing project plans for software rollouts including data conversion, customization, testing, deployment, and post-implementation reviews.

Location: Remote from Texas, Arizona, Washington, Virginia, or Tennessee, United States. May require up to 50% travel nationwide during key project activities.

What you will do

• Manage all aspects of project engagement including planning, stakeholder relationships, communications, resources, financials, change management, risks, and deliverables.
• Work with client project managers and stakeholders to manage expectations and ensure successful project completion.
• Prepare and manage project plans encompassing data conversion, product customization, environment preparation, testing, training, configuration, and production deployment.
• Develop, monitor, track, and report project status and health metrics to internal and external stakeholders.
• Serve as communications hub delivering executive-level updates and crafting proposals, statements of work, and presentations.
• Proactively identify risks and issues, implement resolutions, conduct post-implementation reviews, and contribute to PMO best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Technology plus minimum 3 years software implementation/services experience.
• 3+ years PM experience with external clients, proven strategic thinking to solve complex issues.
• Proven ability to plan, execute, and track complex software rollouts, preferably in Agile/Scrum.
• Strong leadership, communication (verbal/written), organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience managing diverse teams across locations and functional areas, internal/external clients.
• May require extended schedules, tight deadlines, and ability to work in varied social, cultural, legal, political environments.

Nice to have

• PMP certification or plans to obtain.
• Experience implementing Integrated Property Tax Solutions software.
• Familiarity with county tax appraisal/assessment concepts.
• Experience managing government clients.
• Advanced Microsoft Office including MS Project skills.
