What you will do

• Extend backend APIs, business logic, and database queries in PHP
• Build and enhance React UI components for the visual editor
• Ship features end-to-end from requirements to production
• Debug and fix issues in legacy and modern code
• Write automated tests for backend and frontend
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
• Migrate legacy PHP/jQuery to modern full-stack patterns
• Mentor engineers through pairing and feedback

Requirements

• Location: Must work remotely from Colombia
• 5+ years professional experience building web applications at scale
• Strong PHP fundamentals: OOP, MVC, Laravel/Symfony or similar
• Full-stack experience (PHP backend + JS frontend)
• Comfortable with legacy PHP codebases and modernization
• REST APIs, relational DBs (MySQL/PostgreSQL), caching (Redis)
• Automated testing (PHPUnit, Jest)
• Frontend basics: HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Deployment pipelines, Git, CI/CD
• Experience using AI Agents and building AI tools

Nice to have

• Experience building SaaS or e-commerce platforms
• Migrating legacy PHP to modern frameworks
• React or other modern frontend frameworks
• Microservices, modular architectures, API-first designs
• Cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP)
