TL;DR

Technical Specialist (Mechatronics): Install, set up, and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on hard drive testing and smart storage machines with an accent on mechatronic fundamentals, preventive maintenance, and performance optimization. Focus on root cause analysis, process improvements, and collaboration with engineers to reduce downtime.

Location: Woodlands, Singapore, 100% On-site. Only local candidates considered, no relocation or visa sponsorship. Shifts: Office hours (Mon-Sat) during training, then rotating 12-hour day/night shifts with OT.

What you will do

• Install and set up new machines for hard drive testing and smart storage.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues including motors, drivers, sensors, actuators, pneumatics, and control panels.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to monitor performance and reduce downtime.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement solutions for recurring failures.
• Collaborate with engineers and production teams for smooth operations.
• Publish shift reports and continuously improve troubleshooting processes.

Requirements

• Strong mechatronics fundamentals: 60% mechanical (bearings, gearboxes, actuators, pneumatics), 20% electrical (AC/DC, power, grounding), 20% electronics (sensors, signals).
• Ability to use AI tools (preferably Microsoft) or Excel for data analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
• Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, presentation, and English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in teams, with willingness to travel internationally.
• Operate production equipment per work instructions; commit to shift work including rotating 12-hour day/night.

Nice to have

• Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics or related field.
• 0-5 years in automation or related experience.
