TL;DR
Scoping Designer (Electric Utility): Creating accurate scoping drawings, diagrams, and maps for electric distribution systems with an accent on utility data entry, cable and conductor measurements, and ArcGIS-based mapping. Focus on interpreting utility mapping information, documenting existing infrastructure, and maintaining project data in MDI and C55.
Location: Santa Ana, California; hybrid onsite Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The posting also lists Baldwin Park, California.
Salary: $71,800. Pay rate: $34.51 per hour. Duration: 18 months.

What you will do
- Enter data for PIF scoping activities, including cable and conductor length measurements.
- Document existing electric utility infrastructure and enter scope mapping data.
- Maintain project data in MDI and/or C55.
- Create accurate scoping drawings, diagrams, and distribution-system maps.
- Use PDF editing software and consult ArcGIS mapping software.
Requirements
- Two to three years of relevant experience.
- Experience with PDF editing tools.
- Experience reading and interpreting utility mapping information through ArcGIS or a similar platform.
- Experience with electric utility design.
- Availability to work onsite in Santa Ana on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
