What you will do

• Develop, deploy, and maintain ML models for identifying bad actors and mitigating policy violations.
• Design scalable systems using Spark and Kubernetes for data preprocessing, inference, and pipelines.
• Define performance metrics, testing protocols, and evaluation processes for AI fairness and effectiveness.
• Assess and refine AI solutions incorporating feedback, business impact, and ethical considerations.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, product managers, and AI platform team on safety initiatives.
• Stay updated on AI/ML trends for improving detection and user safety.

Requirements

• 4+ years as MLE or data scientist; experience in Trust & Safety, fraud detection, or content moderation preferred.
• 2+ years end-to-end ML including data collection, training, deployment, monitoring.
• 1+ years integrating LLMs with metrics and evaluation methodologies.
• 1+ years with ML infrastructure like feature stores, model serving, observability.
• Proficiency in Python/Java/C++, SQL, PyTorch; ML, deep learning, distributed computing.
• Cloud (GCP/AWS/Azure), data engineering (pipelines, Airflow), system design for large-scale ML.
• Degree in CS/engineering or equivalent; strong leadership and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Databricks, Ray, KubeFlow.
• Real-time ML models for user-facing products.
