Senior Python Developer

Location: Tbilisi or Limassol; hybrid work format

What you will do

• Break up a Django monolith and design independent microservices for a distributed architecture across multiple data centers.
• Develop and integrate product features for a high-load platform serving millions of simultaneous users.
• Design scalable, secure, and fault-tolerant services, selecting appropriate data processing, messaging, and streaming solutions.
• Optimize backend performance through load balancing, API gateways, monitoring, and efficient service interaction.
• Work with Docker, Kubernetes, network protocols, traffic routing, and infrastructure specialists.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• At least 2 years of hands-on Python development.
• Strong knowledge of Django and Django REST Framework.
• Understanding of algorithms, data structures, databases, messaging systems, and data streaming.
• Experience with containerized infrastructure, including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Ability to design solutions, select appropriate tools, and work with modern backend web technologies.

Nice to have

• Experience building high-load and fault-tolerant services.
• Knowledge of Unix systems, operating system internals, and networking.
• Familiarity with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, or Go.
• Experience monitoring high-load production systems with tools such as Zabbix or Grafana.
• Background in finance or trading, or familiarity with hirify.global.
