Location: Hybrid in Krakow, Poland (must attend office 2 days per week)

Salary: 179,000–269,000 PLN (annualized base, Poland)

What you will do

• Write, test, review, and maintain high-quality PHP code and services.
• Deliver end-to-end across SDLC: design, implement, test, deploy, and operate features.
• Lead squad initiatives, collaborate with product and ops teams to build robust solutions.
• Drive technical decisions: design APIs, event schemas, data models; recommend tradeoffs.
• Refactor complex components, optimize performance, scalability, reliability, and cost.
• Mentor via code reviews, contribute to documentation, on-call, and hiring.

Requirements

• 3+ years building production PHP services (Laravel or similar)
• Experience with Docker, CI/CD, cloud deployment (AWS preferred)
• Relational DBs (MySQL, PostgreSQL), performant queries, unit/integration testing (PHPUnit, Codeception)
• RESTful APIs, event-driven architectures, eventual consistency, retries, failure modes
• Observability tools, metrics, logs for improvements
• Clear communicator partnering across teams; growth mindset

Nice to have

• Event-driven systems, Kafka in production
