TL;DR

Animation Intern (Gamedev): Work with motion capture data or create animation from reference for Battlefield franchise assets with an accent on balancing effort, quality, and performance constraints. Location: Hybrid (3 days onsite) in Stockholm, Sweden. Must be eligible to work in Stockholm without visa/relocation support. Available for full-time 6-month placement starting September 2026.

What you will do

  • Work with motion capture data or create animation from reference, collecting and recording material.
  • Balance effort and quality to meet visual and technical targets for assets.
  • Implement features in ANT/Frostbite, test and debug assets in-game.
  • Collaborate with designers, coders, and colleagues on artistic and technical challenges.
  • Create briefs, review results, provide feedback, and seek input from multiple disciplines.
  • Produce previzes, block out scenes, and reference external examples.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled at university or education provider with planned internship period (e.g., LiA).
  • Eligible to work in Stockholm, Sweden, without visa/relocation support.
  • Available for full-time 6-month placement starting September 2026.
  • Artistic qualities, excellent at interpreting reference and in-game examples.
  • Understanding of real-life motion, style, and working with actors/stunt performers for realistic human motion.
  • Knowledge of technical workflows for character animation in games, eager to learn.
  • Efficient asset creation mindful of performance and production constraints.
  • Well-versed in standard rigs and tools in Maya/MotionBuilder.
