What you will do

• Develop complex measurement and test setups for qualification of opto-mechanical modules or fiber assemblies, considering regulatory requirements, and transfer to operations.
• Define concepts and requirements for mechanical and software design.
• Perform sensitivity analysis, assess disturbance variables, and budget requirements for components like light sources and detection systems.
• Define explicit test criteria and execute measurement campaigns with data analysis.
• Verify and validate qualification setups, test procedures, and integrate into operations.
• Formulate assembly and qualification instructions, including calibration and maintenance criteria.

Requirements

• Business fluent in German & English
• Master’s degree in photonics, optical engineering, optical systems, laser technology, physics or similar.
• Solid knowledge of technical optics (optical imaging quality, aberrations) and optical device development.
• Experience in measurement and qualification technology, preferably for manufacturing/assembly of optical systems and fiber assemblies.
• Experience in evaluation, representation, and analysis of experimental data.
• Advanced skills in Python scripting for data analysis.
• Structured, analytical, and team-oriented way of working.
