HW Test Specialist - III (Avionics): Design and build hardware and software test assets for Lunar Lander electronics integration, verification, and validation with an accent on simulators, emulators, and interfacing software. Salary: $104,027 - $145,637 (WA applicants)

What you will do

• Participate in requirements, design, architecture, procurement, build, integration, and checkout of component testers.
• Support development environment with open box and card-to-card testing.
• Perform checkout, troubleshooting, and assembly of electronic and mechanical systems.
• Create and release drawings for hardware infrastructure, rack layouts, harnesses, breakout boxes, power distribution, and grounding.
• Procure equipment, coordinate builds with technicians, and integrate flight avionics with test equipment.
• Maintain configuration control and support problem resolution.

Requirements

• U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident (Green Card), refugee, or asylee (Export Control Regulations).
• 2-year Associates degree in electrical or electronic engineering technology.
• 5+ years industry experience with electrical/electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Experience assembling/handling small mechanical and electrical parts; interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and procedures.
• Proficient with standard electronic lab test and troubleshooting equipment.
• Strong communication, analytical, organizational skills, and team collaboration.

Nice to have

• B.S. in electrical engineering.
• Experience designing avionics labs, electrical ground support equipment, or test assets.
• Knowledge of digital/analog circuits, computers, microprocessors, networks.
• Modeling and drafting with CREO, Zuken or equivalent.
