What you will do

• Partner with design, game development, and product teams to identify opportunities and develop metrics shaping game strategy.
• Scope and capture data with engineering teams to enable insights and models.
• Transform raw data into production metrics, reports, and actionable insights.
• Evaluate and align metrics with long-term ecosystem growth.
• Design, test, and learn from experiments to improve games.
• Lead and mentor a small team of data scientists and engineers.

Requirements

• At least 5 years industry experience with live service video games
• At least 2 years managing data professionals
• Strong product intuition and experience influencing via data.
• Work with dev teams to instrument data and ensure quality.
• Efficient scalable SQL over billions of rows; Spark (Scala/PySpark) a plus.
• Python analytics development.
• Operational tools: GitHub, Airflow, AI coding tools.
• Experimental design and A/B testing.

• Advanced statistical training.
• Full-stack data environment experience (ETL, storage, app dev).
