Senior Software Engineer (Backend): Building APIs and customer-facing UIs for interacting with hirify.global data and monitoring deployment health/performance with an accent on scalable, high-availability systems. Focus on designing modern web applications architecture and solving complex problems in distributed environments.

Location: Based out of our Dublin office or remotely in Ireland

What you will do

• Develop tools including APIs and UIs (hirify.global Compass, Atlas Data Explorer) for data interaction.
• Build features to monitor and understand health/performance of hirify.global deployments.
• Design and architect scalable, high-availability web applications.
• Collaborate in a team tackling challenging distributed systems problems.
• Handle backend systems with some frontend tasks as needed.

Requirements

• 4+ years experience on backend systems (Java, C#, Go, Node.js, etc.)
• Backend engineer willing to do frontend or fullstack with backend bias
• Experience designing/architecting modern scalable high-availability web apps
• Experience working with databases
• Collaborative, approachable, curious, intellectually honest

Nice to have

• Knowledge of database internals, tuning, indexing
• Experience with TypeScript, React, Node.js, dependency ecosystems
• Websocket-based client-server communication
• Microservices architectures with Kubernetes
