What you will do

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on software design for medical devices per IEC62304 standards
• Provide hands-on leadership, coaching, and mentoring on software engineering and reliability best practices
• Evaluate designs for failure modes, assess hazards and harms, prioritize risks, and identify controls
• Design and execute reliability tests to demonstrate software reliability
• Conduct and participate in technical reviews of requirements, designs, and artifacts
• Participate in process improvements and develop reusable patterns to increase team velocity

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 4 years relevant technical experience (or advanced degree + 2 years)
• Experience in software design for medical devices
• Experience with Agile methodologies and Test-Driven Development
• Proficiency in two or more: C++, Java, JavaScript, HTML, C#, .NET, Python, Angular, Xamarin
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and team skills
