TL;DR

Senior DevOps Engineer: Building and scaling DevOps culture, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation for hirify.global's Technology division with an accent on enterprise standards, reliability, and security. Focus on defining reference architectures, owning tooling portfolio, establishing SLOs, embedding security in pipelines, and coaching engineering teams.

Onsite five days a week in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Visa sponsorship not available.

What you will do

  • Lead DevOps strategy: define CI/CD, IaC reference architectures, golden paths, and standards.
  • Own DevOps tooling portfolio: roadmap, lifecycle, rationalization, and adoption guidance.
  • Drive reliability: establish SLO/SLI, observability, incident response, and continuous improvement.
  • Embed security: integrate controls into pipelines, scanning, and policy-as-code.
  • Enable teams: mentor engineers, uplift capabilities, and foster automation culture.
  • Manage stakeholders: influence leadership, vendors, governance, and compliance.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in automation, DevOps, or platform engineering with ownership of complex systems.
  • 2–4+ years in technical lead or senior DevOps role.
  • Experience in enterprise-scale production environments and Agile/product-led delivery.
  • Strong cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, Azure DevOps).
  • Hands-on IaC (Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation, Ansible), Docker, Kubernetes.
  • Scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell), monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, Splunk).
  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
