Kotlin/Java Developer (Integration)

Company

hirify.global is developing a payment gateway for accepting funds on behalf of merchants and sending funds from merchants to users, with integrations across payment systems, providers, gateways, processors, and 3DS.

What you will do

• Develop new payment integrations, services, and high-load system components.
• Analyze provider documentation, validate solutions through proof of concept, and define technical and business epics.
• Improve existing services, system performance, database queries, reliability, and integration processes.
• Write test-covered code, conduct code reviews, collaborate with QA, and maintain technical documentation.
• Investigate production incidents and bugs, resolve technical support requests, and assist with developer onboarding.
• Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate delivery and create internal tools for generating integration code.

Requirements

• 3+ years of commercial Kotlin development experience; Java experience is beneficial.
• Experience with Spring, payment solutions, external payment providers, billing, gateways, or processors.
• Experience designing and optimizing MySQL databases and working with Redis.
• Knowledge of event-driven architecture, distributed messaging systems such as Kafka, microservices, TDD, and CI/CD.
• Practical experience with AI-assisted coding tools and the ability to critically review generated code for production readiness.
• English proficiency at B1 level or higher.

Nice to have

• Experience with Camunda, AWS, Jira, and GitLab CI/CD.
• Knowledge of PCI DSS, ISO 27001, and other information security methodologies.
• Experience building internal tools that automate or accelerate integration development.
