Software Development Engineer (Database)

TL;DR

Software Development Engineer (Database): Building next-generation in-memory database services, including ElastiCache and MemoryDB, with an accent on low latency and fast performance NoSQL systems. Focus on high availability, scalable in-memory distributed services, and influencing the direction of NoSQL systems throughout the industry.

Location: Dublin, Ireland. Most days, the team is co-located in the Dublin office, but supports occasional remote work if needed.

What you will do

• Work with in-memory database technologies including Valkey, Redis and Memcached.
• Build next-generation technologies for fast/high scale in-memory solutions across diverse industry use cases.
• Investigate operational gaps on a weekly basis, proactively root-cause issues and fix them.
• Participate in team-wide design reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Experience in professional software development.
• Experience designing or architecting new and existing systems.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
• Knowledge of computer science fundamentals in data structures, algorithm design, and problem solving.

Nice to have

• Experience in Database like NoSQL.
• Experience designing, building, operating, and managing large-scale distributed systems or web services.
