Software Architect (Java)

What you will do

• Create C4 diagrams, technical roadmaps, and Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) to balance performance and cost.
• Lead technical decision-making through PoCs and champion patterns such as hexagonal, event-driven, and reactive architectures.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to decompose epics into technical user stories and align them with the architecture runway.
• Mentor mid and senior engineers in architecture principles and design patterns to accelerate professional growth.
• Establish coding standards and oversee quality gates using tools like SonarQube and SpotBugs.
• Optimize CI/CD pipelines and lead platform modernization efforts, moving from monoliths to microservices.

Requirements

• Advanced knowledge of Java 21 and the Spring Boot 3.x ecosystem (Web, Security, Data JPA, Cache).
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker, and Kubernetes (GKE) on Google Cloud Platform.
• Hands-on experience with GitOps workflows, specifically Tekton pipelines and ArgoCD.
• Strong knowledge of gRPC, WebSockets, and OAuth2/OIDC authentication flows.
• Must be based in Brazil.

Nice to have

• Experience with Terraform, mTLS, and Pub/Sub messaging patterns.
• Familiarity with contract testing, JMeter, and Gatling.
• Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
• Spanish language proficiency.
• Exposure to frontend architecture (Angular, RxJS).
