TL;DR

Lead GCP Cloud Engineer (GCP/Cloud Infrastructure): Designing, implementing, and maintaining secure cloud infrastructure within Google Cloud Platform for a high-security government environment with an accent on infrastructure automation, cloud security, and CI/CD pipeline development. Focus on implementing federal security standards like FedRAMP and NIST, optimizing cloud services for SLAs, and driving automation strategies.

Location: In-Person (5 days/week) in Washington, DC. U.S. Citizenship Required.

What you will do

• Design and manage secure, scalable cloud infrastructure on GCP.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using Terraform and Deployment Manager.
• Automate and manage CI/CD pipelines via GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Cloud Build.
• Collaborate with software engineers, security personnel, and government stakeholders to support deployment workflows.
• Monitor system performance and ensure cloud services comply with federal security standards like FedRAMP and NIST.
• Provide technical documentation and knowledge sharing for the broader engineering team.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship Required.
• Willingness to obtain a security clearance.
• 4+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with at least 2 years specifically on GCP.
• Hands-on experience with Compute Engine, Cloud Functions, VPC, IAM, GKE, and BigQuery.
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, or Deployment Manager.
• Solid understanding of Linux systems, networking, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Nice to have

• GCP Professional Cloud Architect or DevOps Engineer certification.
• Experience supporting federal government contracts and understanding of ATO processes.
• Familiarity with AWS or Azure.
• Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go.
