What you will do
- Drive the architecture, micro-architecture, and optimization of the CPU load-store unit for high-performance out-of-order RISC-V CPUs.
- Propose and implement new solutions to optimize load-store PPA.
- Conduct simulations and performance analysis of advanced CPU features and state-of-the-art data prefetchers.
- Collaborate with hardware and software teams to optimize memory access patterns and overall system performance.
- Research industry trends and emerging technologies in CPU architecture and memory subsystems.
- Document and present architectural decisions and trade-off analyses.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Strong grasp of computer architecture fundamentals, including memory hierarchy, cache coherence, and data prefetching.
- Experience with performance modeling and simulation tools such as Gem5 or SimpleScalar.
- Knowledge of hardware description languages (Verilog, VHDL) and system-level programming in C/C++.
- Must be eligible to access U.S. export-controlled technology (EAR compliance); citizenship or permanent residency may be required.
- Proven ability to analyze complex system interactions using performance profiling tools and benchmarking methodologies.
