Salary: $30 - $34 per hour

What you will do

• Conduct acoustic and vibrational testing for a wide variety of consumer products.
• Analyze frequency spectra to identify and localize noise sources.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary product development teams to improve sound quality.
• Design, build, and test prototypes to resolve noise and vibration issues.
• Lead research into novel noise reduction and control techniques within the R&D team.

Requirements

• Current student (3rd year+ Bachelor's or Master's) in Mechanical Engineering, Acoustics Engineering, or a similar field.
• Must be able to work full-time onsite in Needham, MA.
• Knowledge of physical acoustics, psychoacoustics, and noise control principles.
• Understanding of vibrating systems and how parameter modifications affect response.
• Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks or Creo) and experience with 3D printing or laser cutting.

Nice to have

• Experience with hands-on prototype development in plastic and metal using machine shop tools.
• Familiarity with electronics, microphones, and accelerometers.
