What you will do

• Conduct independent and collaborative research in quantum physics and technologies.
• Develop theoretical models, numerical simulations, and experimental systems.
• Build heterogeneous quantum networks and implement quantum key distribution or distributed entanglement.
• Analyze and interpret experimental/simulation data.
• Document research results and prepare manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals and scientific conferences.
• Collaborate with internal scientists, engineers, and external academic and government partners.

Requirements

• PhD (completed or near completion) in Physics, Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Must be a United States citizen.
• Must meet and maintain eligibility for Secret security clearance.
• Proficiency in Python for data analysis and hardware control.
• Knowledge of fabrication techniques for quantum dots, color centers, integrated photonic circuits, or superconducting circuits.
