What you will do

  • Lead design activities and create high-fidelity illustrations for physical products.
  • Apply user-centered design and design thinking to create innovative product solutions based on consumer insights.
  • Develop concepts via sketches, illustrations, and CAD renderings (Solidworks or Rhino).
  • Create detailed specifications for manufacturing, including fit, finish, color, and graphics.
  • Deliver production-ready CAD packages to Engineering and Manufacturing teams.
  • Coach and mentor designers, setting expectations and deliverables throughout the development process.

Requirements

  • BA or BS in Industrial Design (MS preferred).
  • 4+ years of experience in small appliances, consumer electronics, medical, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as Solidworks or Rhino.
  • Expertise in 3D rendering (Keyshot) and 2D tools (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop).
  • Proven track record of delivering physical products through to mass production.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering and part design.
