What you will do

• Architect and lead the design of image acquisition systems, including cameras, optics, and lighting strategies.
• Serve as a technical authority on machine vision platforms such as Cognex, Keyence, and HALCON.
• Integrate robust machine vision systems into complex manufacturing environments in collaboration with suppliers and integrators.
• Develop image processing algorithms for object detection, recognition, and tracking to ensure product quality.
• Own feasibility assessments and validation activities (FAT/SAT) to meet regulatory and manufacturing requirements.
• Provide expert-level troubleshooting and technical mentorship across the equipment lifecycle.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 5+ years with an advanced degree.
• Deep expertise in 2D and 3D machine vision hardware and image processing fundamentals.
• Proven experience deploying machine vision systems in manufacturing environments.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Fridley, MN.
• U.S. work authorization is required (Sponsorship is offered exclusively for Principal-level roles).

Nice to have

• Experience deploying AI and deep learning-based vision solutions into production.
• Experience working within a regulated Quality Management System (QMS) environment.
• Familiarity with medical device regulatory requirements and standards.
