Backend Engineer (Kubernetes)

What you will do

• Design, develop (in Go), and test significant features for Kubernetes application, database, and storage system backup and recovery.
• Integrate hirify.global Kasten with other hirify.global products to expand overall platform capabilities.
• Collaborate with distributed engineering teams across various time zones and regions.
• Contribute actively to the cloud-native open-source community.
• Participate in technical design discussions and provide detailed code reviews for peers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience developing enterprise solutions in C++, Java, or C# with a willingness to code in Go.
• Strong expertise in distributed systems concepts and client-server architectures.
• Proven track record of building production-quality, scalable, multi-threaded, and concurrent systems.
• Solid foundation in computer science (data structures, algorithms, and concurrency).
• University degree in a technical field or equivalent professional industry experience.
• Location: Must be based in Prague (Office Based)

Nice to have

• Professional experience developing in Golang.
• Experience with container schedulers and orchestration platforms.
• Experience utilizing AI coding agent tools at scale.
• Active contributions to OSS projects within the Kubernetes/Cloud-Native ecosystem or participation in CNCF TAGs/SIGs.
