What you will do

• Contribute to search quality experiments through improved models, data usage, and evaluation tools.
• Design and implement retrieval, ranking, and classification components for the search platform.
• Train evaluating models using LLM-based approaches for various search tasks.
• Support the scalable deployment and monitoring of search and ranking models.
• Build and iterate on RAG pipelines for grounding and answer generation.
• Collaborate with Data, AI, Infrastructure, and Product teams to deliver production ML improvements.

Requirements

• Strong foundation in machine learning and statistics, specifically in information retrieval, ranking, or recommender systems.
• Proficiency with Python and ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
• Available for a 12-24 week full-time internship in-person in London.
• Self-driven and curious with a strong sense of ownership and comfort in fast-paced environments.

Nice to have

• Experience evaluating model quality using offline metrics or A/B testing.
• Previous internships or research projects in search, recommendation, or NLP.
• Experience with Rust.
