TL;DR

Software Development Engineer (Intermediate) (.NET): Developing and maintaining high-throughput backend services and microservices for a SaaS giving platform with an accent on scalability and data integrity. Focus on modernizing legacy .NET Framework code to .NET 8, designing event-driven pipelines, and delivering production-ready software on AWS.

Location: Auckland, New Zealand. Must have legal working rights for New Zealand. Hybrid model (up to 2 days WFH per week).

hirify.global is a high-growth New Zealand SaaS business providing mobile apps and giving technology to churches, schools, and nonprofits.

What you will do

  • Develop clean, efficient, and scalable software using .NET 8 and .NET Framework 4.8.
  • Build and architect moderately complex software solutions, including microservices and event-driven pipelines with Kinesis and RabbitMQ.
  • Automate repetitive tasks using scripting and tooling to improve the SDLC.
  • Review and debug code, perform validation testing, and identify risks and problems early.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, UX/Design, QA, and SRE teams to deliver business value.
  • Contribute to engineering culture, technical trade-offs, and recruitment through technical screens.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience building multi-user web, mobile, or cloud products.
  • Proficiency in .NET (specifically .NET 8 or Framework 4.8).
  • Experience with AWS infrastructure and strong CI/CD pipelines.
  • Must have legal working rights for New Zealand.
  • Ability to self-manage tasks and communicate technical/business impact clearly.
