Quest Designer Intern (Game Design)

TL;DR

Quest Designer Intern (Game Design): Building exciting, challenging gameplay spaces and designing missions for dynamic open worlds with an accent on narrative design, level design, and encounter design. Focus on creating new quest activities, maintaining design documentation, and supporting live game content.

Location: On-site in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Candidates must be currently enrolled in a Dutch school and be within commuting distance from the studio.

What you will do

• Assist the quest team in supporting the live Hunter’s Gathering game by analyzing shipped content.
• Update and maintain design documentation for QA and design teams for both live content and future development.
• Design and build new, engaging quest activities within the game world.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Dutch school within a relevant field of study.
• Able to work on-site in the Amsterdam studio.
• Able to live and work in the Netherlands.
• Availability to start the internship in September 2026.
• Foundational understanding of narrative design, level design, visual scripting, and encounter design.

Nice to have

• Passion for story-driven content in single-player and multiplayer games.
• Experience with 3D world and level building tools.
• Technical background in programming or scripting, particularly with visual editors.
