Fullstack Engineer, Trust Experience (React/Python/Elixir): Building systems for policy enforcement, dispute resolution, and intelligent detection to ensure marketplace safety with an accent on proactive detection and transparent enforcement. Focus on leveraging machine learning and behavioral analysis to protect buyers and sellers from evolving abuse patterns.

Location: Must live within commuting distance of San Francisco, Seattle, Los Angeles, or New York hubs

Salary: $180K – $230K + Equity

What you will do

• Design and build systems for policy enforcement and efficient dispute resolution.
• Implement intelligent detection and prevention tools using machine learning and behavioral analysis.
• Develop modern frontend applications using React and GraphQL.
• Maintain and scale backend services primarily using Python, Elixir, and JavaScript.
• Own the full product lifecycle from inception through production and beyond.
• Mentor other engineers and contribute to an inclusive, supportive team environment.

Requirements

• 3+ years of generalist software development experience in high-growth startups.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Strong proficiency in React and GraphQL for API development.
• Experience with multiple programming languages (Python, Elixir, and JavaScript are primary).
• Must be based within commuting distance of San Francisco, Seattle, Los Angeles, or New York.
• Proven ability to ship features rapidly and operate autonomously as a project owner.
