What you will do

• Design and develop new features across the product range, specifically for ultra-low latency market data and order execution solutions.
• Solve complex latency and throughput challenges in equities, options, futures, and foreign exchange markets.
• Normalize and analyze massive real-time data streams to ensure high-performance delivery.
• Collaborate with a highly skilled engineering team to bring technology into new markets and deployment models.
• Write maintainable, high-performance code for Linux-based systems.

Requirements

• BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Maths, Physics, or a relevant field.
• Strong proficiency in C development under Linux.
• Knowledge of high-performance systems and multi-threaded application development.
• Extensive knowledge of computer architectures.
• Must be based in or able to work in a hybrid model in Belfast, UK.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Financial trading concepts and protocols, including FIX.
• Experience with Python or Java programming.
• Experience with automated testing (unit and integration) and CI tools like Jenkins.
• Proficiency with Linux development tools such as gdb and valgrind.
• Knowledge of IP networking and packet capture analysis using Wireshark.
