Location: Hybrid (Santa Clara, CA). Must be based in the US or relocate independently

Salary: $275,000 – $289,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead the design and development of scalable, resilient distributed systems supporting millions of identities worldwide.
• Own architecture decisions, drive design conversations, and deliver solutions from whiteboard to production.
• Mentor and empower engineers to improve code quality, performance, and technical excellence.
• Partner with Product, SRE, and Security teams to deliver reliable and secure systems.
• Break down complex problems and navigate ambiguity to impact the platform and customers.
• Champion best practices in observability, testing, automation, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience building large-scale, cloud-based systems.
• Strong expertise in .NET / .NET Core and distributed systems design (Java engineers ready to learn .NET are encouraged to apply).
• Hands-on experience with AWS or GCP, RESTful APIs, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
• Solid understanding of security fundamentals and experience with performance tuning.
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Ability to work onsite in Santa Clara 2–3 days a week.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with identity standards such as OAuth, OIDC, and SAML.
