Site Reliability Engineer (DevOps)

TL;DR

Site Reliability Engineer (DevOps): Contributing to the sustainable operation of critical systems with an accent on stability, robustness, and scalability. Focus on automating IT operations, maintaining CI/CD pipelines, and optimizing applications for high performance.

Location: Hybrid setup: office in Bucharest, Romania and remote work. Travel might be expected to our Headquarters in Aarhus, Denmark.

What you will do

• Use software development to deploy and operate mission-critical applications in production environments.
• Automate manual processes of IT operations, such as deployment, build pipelines, and monitoring.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Assist development projects with designing operations-ready applications.
• Advise colleagues in best practice techniques and implement operationally efficient products.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call roster with colleagues in the SRE team.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in software development.
• Experience in continuous integration/continuous delivery best practice and knowledge of DevOps principles.
• Hands-on experience in building, operating, maintaining, and implementing stable solutions.
• Solid knowledge of at least 1 programming language (e.g. Java, JavaScript, Python, C#).
• Good experience with bash scripting and SQL.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools, containerization, and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong command of the English language both speaking and writing.
• Must be able to present a clean criminal record and have lived in a NATO and/or an EU country for the past seven years as we work with security-classified projects.

Nice to have

• Experience with Cloud solutions (Microsoft Azure, AWS).
• Experience with Configuration Management tools (e.g. Ansible).
• Experience with Monitoring and Alerting tools (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana).
• Experience with ELK/EFK, or Splunk.
• Experience with Build Management, Deployment and Release Management Automation, preferably TeamCity.
• Experience with PowerShell scripting and Linux and Windows administration.
