What you will do

• Lead the design and development of backend features and services aligned with security standards.
• Develop clean, maintainable, and well-tested code with rigorous automated testing.
• Improve service reliability through SLOs, logging, tracing, and active participation in on-call rotations.
• Drive security-by-design practices including threat modeling and robust authentication management.
• Collaborate with Product, Security, and SRE teams to plan releases and manage system risks.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and design walkthroughs to elevate engineering standards.

Requirements

• Legal authorization to work in the UK is mandatory without sponsorship.
• Strong experience in building backend services using TypeScript and Node.js.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design and integration patterns.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL schema design and query optimization.
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud-native development.
• Practical knowledge of automated testing, secure coding, and observability tools.

• Deep experience with type-driven development and modular architectures.
