What you will do

• Establish and curate relationships with new and existing payment partners including banks, PSPs, and telcos.
• Negotiate and onboard new payment channels in Africa and LATAM regions.
• Collaborate with product and operations teams to optimize payment flows, failover management, and overall system performance.
• Perform monthly competitor benchmarking regarding pricing, payment trends, and settlement processes.
• Monitor and improve payment partner KPIs such as success rates, latency, and cost per transaction.
• Support operations leadership in downtime tracking and business continuity planning.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in payments, fintech, e-commerce, or transaction-heavy platforms.
• Strong understanding of the payment landscape, including mobile money, cards, and local payment rails in African and LATAM markets.
• Proven ability to operate in low-structure, high-velocity environments with a self-starter mindset.
• Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management across tech, product, and external partners.
• Strong structuring and negotiation skills with the ability to manage multiple work streams in parallel.
• English: C1+ proficiency is essential
