What you will do

• Develop and maintain the ReadID SaaS server with a focus on security and scalability.
• Implement new features and integrate third-party solutions such as facial recognition technologies.
• Provide support for external developers using the ReadID API, including REST, XML, and JSON interfaces.
• Create and maintain comprehensive API documentation for partners and customers.
• Participate in automated testing to ensure product reliability and code quality.
• Contribute to backend optimization efforts, cloud initiatives, and DevOps projects.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of professional experience in Java server-side development.
• Strong expertise in Java EE or Jakarta, Spring, REST, XML, and JSON.
• Proficiency with continuous integration (Jenkins), containerization (Docker), and cloud platforms (AWS).
• Solid understanding of relational databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
• Knowledge of security principles and OWASP guidelines.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required.
• Must be within commuting distance of Enschede or Valencia or willing to relocate.

Nice to have

• Experience with the ELK stack.
• Knowledge of frontend technologies like JavaScript, CSS, and Angular.
