What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of 4+ engineers, fostering technical excellence and ownership.
• Define long-term strategy and technical vision aligned with product goals.
• Architect, develop, and maintain high-performance services using React and Node.
• Collaborate with Product and Design teams to translate requirements into accessible, reusable components.
• Track and optimize engineering performance metrics like cycle time and velocity.
• Champion engineering best practices, including code quality, testing, and system reliability.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work from Warsaw, Poland
• 5+ years of experience in web development with React and backend development with Node.
• Proven experience leading a team of 4+ developers, including performance reviews and 1:1 mentorship.
• Excellent English level required
• Proficiency in microservice architectures and cloud solutions (AWS preferred).
• Strong knowledge of databases (MySQL, MemSQL, Redis).
• Experience with AI tools like GitHub Copilot or Claude and their integration into development workflows.

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of GitHub Actions for CI/CD.
• Familiarity with distributed event stores like Kafka.
• Experience with automation tools like Playwright and monitoring via Grafana or OpenTelemetry.
