is a robotics startup building the OS to deploy reliable, intelligent service robots into human environments like hospitals, retail, and hospitality.
What you will do
- Develop and maintain robotics software systems specifically designed for real-world deployment.
- Build perception-to-action pipelines connecting sensing, decision-making, and safety.
- Improve HRI robustness through voice, vision, and motion integration.
- Integrate and validate autonomous navigation for humanoid and mobile robot platforms.
- Design practical failure-handling, monitoring, and recovery systems for fleet operation.
- Collaborate with hardware and product teams to bridge the gap between lab research and field deployment.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in robotics software, autonomy, or real-world robotic systems.
- Strong coding proficiency in Python or C++.
- Expertise in at least one key area: navigation, SLAM, HRI, system integration, or simulation.
- Ability to debug and ship across the full robotics stack.
- Business-level Japanese or strong conversational ability preferred for field collaboration in Japan.
- Strong interest in embodied AI and real-world deployment challenges.
Nice to have
- Experience with humanoid robots or mobile manipulators (e.g., Unitree platforms).
- Experience with ROS2, MoveIt, PyTorch, or reinforcement learning.
- Practical experience in operational environments like hospitals or logistics.
- Knowledge of manipulation systems such as pick-and-place or grasping.
