TL;DR

Designer (GameArt): Developing 3D characters, props, and environments for a major animated children's series with an accent on maintaining consistent visual style and technical production efficiency. Focus on creating complex character rotations, expression sheets, and annotated location designs within a collaborative studio environment.

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Toronto, Ontario (Hybrid role)

Compensation: $1450 - $1550 per week

What you will do

• Design 3D characters, props, and environments aligned with the show's aesthetic
• Produce character, prop, and location designs ranging from rough concepts to finalized rotations
• Generate character expression and pose sheets to support the animation department
• Interpret scripts to prepare annotated location maps and designs for storyboarding
• Integrate and modify library assets to optimize reuse and production efficiency
• Collaborate with the Art Director and Design Supervisor to maintain visual consistency

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in 3D animated series production
• Strong proficiency in Photoshop
• Working knowledge of Toon Boom Harmony and 3D software such as Blender
• Experience on at least two 3D children’s series
• Understanding of 3D modeling principles
• Demonstrated ability to meet strict delivery timeframes

Nice to have

• Experience with Matte Painting
• Experience generating Mood Boards and Color Scripts
