Platform/Release Engineering Team Lead

TL;DR

Platform/Release Engineering Team Lead (DevOps): Leading an internal CI infrastructure team to build a seamless and efficient SDLC with an accent on GitOps migration using ArgoCD and Argo Rollouts. Focus on building robust tools for test environment management, release automation, and implementing advanced CI/CD pipelines for mobile and web applications.

Location: 100% office-based position. Must be able to relocate to or work from Belgrade (Serbia), Lisbon (Portugal), Sofia (Bulgaria), or Warsaw (Poland).

What you will do

• Define strategic direction for company-wide CI/CD infrastructure and manage the engineering team.
• Drive the migration of service deployments to ArgoCD and Argo Rollouts implementing Canary and Blue-Green strategies.
• Build internal services and PoCs to optimize workflows including environment management and release automation.
• Integrate SAST/DAST tools and automate code quality checks within CI/CD pipelines.
• Accelerate build and distribution pipelines for mobile and web platforms to ensure infrastructure stability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Infrastructure, SRE, or Release Engineering.
• Proven experience in team leadership or technical leadership roles.
• Deep expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm.
• Hands-on experience with Argo ecosystem (ArgoCD/Argo Rollouts) and CI tools (GitLab CI/Jenkins).
• Strong programming skills in Python or TypeScript/JavaScript for internal tooling.
• Solid experience with observability stack (Grafana/OpenTelemetry) and microservices architecture.

Nice to have

• Experience integrating AI tools into development and testing processes.
• Familiarity with Service Catalogs like Backstage or Port.io.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and HashiCorp Vault.
• Track record of implementing technological changes at a company-wide level.
