Location: Hybrid (Must be able to work from the Kraków office 2–3 days per week)

What you will do

• Design, build, and optimize high-throughput streaming and batch data pipelines.
• Develop scalable microservices to process real-time location data.
• Maintain and evolve event-driven architectures using Kafka and Kafka Streams.
• Define and manage data models in MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
• Ensure low-latency, high-availability compute workloads in Kubernetes.
• Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation to ensure platform reliability.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering experience.
• Proven experience building highly scalable, distributed systems.
• Strong background in Kafka and event-driven architectures.
• Deep knowledge of the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Data).
• Hands-on experience with AWS, containerization, and Kubernetes.
• English: Professional proficiency required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python in data-heavy environments.
• Expertise in performance and load testing for compute-heavy services.
• Strong background in CI/CD automation and test automation.
