Principal Software Cloud Engineer (Cardiac Management): Developing a cloud-native, microservice-based system within the Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) Software division with an accent on improving product reliability and product velocity. Focus on designing Simple, Scalable, and Reliable solutions that leverage AWS, Kubernetes, Kafka, and HBase.

Location: Must work a minimum of 4 days a week onsite in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States

Salary: $148,000.00 - $222,000.00

• Develop software and solutions across the stack that improve product reliability and product velocity.
• Collaborate with the team to design Simple, Scalable, and Reliable solutions that leverage our new target architecture.
• Troubleshoot production incidents and participate in blameless post-mortems and follow-through.

Requirements

• B.S./B.A. in Computer Engineering/Science or technically related.
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience OR PhD with 3 years relevant experience.
• Must possess unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and for the duration of employment.

Nice to have

• 2+ years of experience leveraging Kafka or similar streaming technologies.
• 2+ years using DevSecOps practices with systems/service engineering and release management.
• Refactoring a monolith into microservices.
• Experience with monitoring stacks (ELK, Dynatrace, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Prometheus).
• Experience with NoSQL databases (HBase, DynamoDB).
• Experience at a Medical Device company.
