Software Engineer (Starlink): Responsible for the development and design of innovative test systems that enable rapid development and accurate testing of Starlink vehicle software and hardware with an accent on frequent and reliable deployment, test execution, and data analysis. Focus on providing an intuitive, fast, and high signal-to-noise ratio integrated test platform.
Location: Redmond, WA. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, refugee, or asylee, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
Salary: $125,000.00 - $175,000.00/per year

What you will do
- Create software and supporting infrastructure for deployment, test execution, and data analysis.
- Analyze test results and identify bugs, collaborating with engineers across the organization.
- Work with software and hardware engineers to provide an integrated test platform.
- Develop test execution across hardware-in-the-loop and virtualized hardware simulations.
- Collaborate with engineers to identify, investigate, and resolve issues with Starlink hardware/software.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, or STEM discipline and 1+ years of professional experience in test systems, software or hardware development; OR 3+ years of professional experience in test systems, software or hardware development in lieu of a degree (internship experience is applicable).
- Development experience in Python, C, C++, or Rust.
- Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
- To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
Nice to have
- Experience building, testing, or working with CI/CD systems.
- Linux and Bash proficiency and experience with networking protocols.
- Strong skills in troubleshooting, debugging, performance optimization, and unit testing.
- Developed and deployed software that has been used in real-world applications/projects.
- Data analysis skillset and experience with simulation software.
- Experience with containerization technologies (i.e. Docker, Kubernetes).
- Solid fundamental knowledge of networks, electronics, RF communications, math, and physics.
- Creative approach to problem-solving, exceptional analytical skills, and engineering fundamentals.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
