What you will do

• Design and maintain secure, scalable GCP infrastructure foundations including IAM, networking, and observability.
• Develop reusable Terraform modules and automated deployment patterns for data, AI, and serverless workloads.
• Create CI/CD pipelines using Harness and Python to improve delivery speed and efficiency.
• Implement policy-as-code guardrails to ensure compliance with regulated-industry standards.
• Develop self-service Golden Paths using Backstage templates to improve developer workflows.
• Prototype and productionise GenAI and agentic-AI automations to optimize deployment and documentation tasks.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Manchester, Bristol, Halifax, or Leeds.
• Proven experience in platform engineering and operating complex solutions on GCP.
• Hands-on expertise in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code automation.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, Go, or Bash).
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or Harness.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of multi-agent AI systems.
• Experience with security tools like Wiz and Open Policy Agent.
• Familiarity with Dynatrace for operational monitoring.
