BI Developer (Oracle/PowerBI)

TL;DR

BI Developer (Oracle/PowerBI): Developing and optimizing advanced Business Intelligence solutions for a global banking environment with an accent on data modeling, ETL processes, and complex reporting. Focus on designing performant dashboards in PowerBI, managing Oracle databases, and ensuring high-quality data insights in an Agile team.

Location: Hybrid, must be based in or able to commute to Warsaw or Cracow (1 day a week in the office).

What you will do

• Develop, implement, and optimize BI solutions to enhance data accessibility and reporting.
• Design and improve dashboards, reports, and data models to deliver actionable insights.
• Maintain and optimize existing BI systems, focusing on performance, data quality, and reliability.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
• Validate and troubleshoot BI solutions to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Document processes and support end-users to drive the adoption of BI tools.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Business Intelligence development (data modeling, ETL/ELT, reporting).
• Strong experience with Oracle Database, including SQL, complex queries, and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with PowerBI, including advanced DAX and best practices in data modeling.
• Proficiency in SSRS for designing paginated reports.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts (dimensional modeling, OLAP).
• Fluent English for daily communication and documentation.

Nice to have

• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Bitbucket, Ansible).
• Knowledge of containerization like Kubernetes.
• Experience with cloud BI platforms such as Azure Synapse or AWS Redshift.
