BI Developer (Banking)

TL;DR

BI Developer (Power BI/Oracle): Developing and optimizing BI solutions and scalable platforms for a global banking environment with an accent on data modeling and real-time reporting. Focus on designing complex dashboards, optimizing Oracle database performance, and ensuring data accuracy across organization-wide reports.

Location: Hybrid, Warsaw or Cracow (1 day a week in the office)

What you will do

• Develop and optimize BI solutions to enhance data accessibility and reporting.
• Design and improve dashboards, reports, and data models providing actionable insights.
• Maintain and tune existing BI systems for optimal performance, data quality, and reliability.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
• Validate and troubleshoot BI solutions to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Document technical processes and provide training to end-users to drive tool adoption.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in BI development, including data modelling, ETL/ELT, and reporting.
• Strong proficiency with Oracle Database, including complex SQL queries and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI, specifically data modelling and advanced DAX.
• Experience designing paginated reports and subscriptions using SSRS.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts such as dimensional modelling and OLAP.
• Fluent English for daily communication and documentation.

Nice to have

• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket, Artifactory, and Ansible.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Experience with cloud BI platforms like Azure Synapse or AWS Redshift.
