What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain client libraries, sync protocols, and core query APIs.
• Evaluate and support new web frameworks and evolving development technologies.
• Develop scalable and composable backend abstractions to enhance developer productivity.
• Collaborate directly with the CTO and engineering team to prioritize and execute technical projects.
• Define design guidelines and best practices to support team and system growth.
• Write high-quality client library code that balances simplicity and performance.

Requirements

• Several years of experience building APIs, client libraries, or developer tools.
• Strong understanding of TypeScript, React, and modern web development ecosystems.
• Commitment to working in-person at the office in San Francisco.
• Experience with or enthusiasm for working in a high-growth startup environment.
• Strong architectural sensibilities and a focus on conceptual thinking.
• Familiarity with the demands of live, user-facing services (OLTP databases).
