What you will do
- Drive the CFD risk strategy for MENA, aligning with global priorities and CMA regulatory expectations.
- Oversee market and trading risk frameworks, including margin, leverage, hedging effectiveness, and price integrity.
- Manage counterparty and credit risk limits for liquidity providers, prime brokers, and banks.
- Lead liquidity and capital adequacy monitoring, stress testing, and scenario analysis.
- Provide second-line oversight of product governance, conduct risk, and operational resilience.
- Deliver risk reporting to Senior Management and the Board, supporting regulatory submissions and audits.
Requirements
- University degree and 8+ years of experience in risk management within regulated financial services.
- Strong expertise in CMA regulatory requirements applicable to CFDs and prudential oversight.
- Proven experience engaging with Boards, managing escalation processes, and supporting regulatory inspections.
- Deep understanding of market risk, stress testing, counterparty risk, and trading platform controls.
- Certifications: Certificate in Risk in Financial Services and UAE Financial Rules and Regulations required.
- Strong leadership capability to build and manage an independent risk function.
Nice to have
- Professional risk qualifications such as FRM, PRM, or CFA.
- Prior experience obtaining and maintaining CMA approval.
