What you will do

• Improve platform observability, reliability, and availability by defining key performance metrics.
• Design and implement automation tools to eliminate manual operational toil.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to optimize cloud deployments using Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS/GCP.
• Reduce service disruptions by partnering with product teams to automate incident response.
• Debug and resolve extremely difficult technical problems across the stack.
• Mentor engineering teams to establish reliability as a core cultural value.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering experience.
• Must be able to attend in-person company offsites.
• Strong expertise in system design, coding, and service-oriented architecture.
• Proficiency in observability, debugging, and performance tuning.
• Bias toward transparent communication and open cultural practices.
• Ability to participate in on-call support rotations.

Nice to have

• Experience with Go, Ruby, and Terraform.
• Background in high-throughput and low-latency system design.
• Experience with observability tools like Datadog or Kibana.
• Familiarity with regulated environments and blockchain/Web3 services.
