Senior Information Security Engineer (Fintech)

TL;DR

Senior Information Security Engineer (Fintech): Managing and reducing information security risks across Technology Services with an accent on leading the design, implementation and continuous improvement of enterprise security tools and platforms. Focus on driving automation, innovation and integration across the technology estate.

Location: Hybrid (Manchester or London). Minimum of 50% of your working time per month spent in the office. Initial period of full-time office working to help you settle in and build relationships.

What you will do

• Lead the delivery and management of enterprise security solutions across endpoint, cloud, network, DevOps and security monitoring.
• Design and implement secure infrastructure controls aligned to best practice.
• Identify, evaluate and implement new security tools and platforms.
• Provide security oversight across projects and change initiatives.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of cybersecurity risk management processes.

Requirements

• Proven experience implementing enterprise security platforms.
• Strong knowledge of security risk management tools and techniques.
• Deep understanding of security solutions (e.g. SIEM, PAM, IGA, endpoint protection, email/web gateways).
• Experience working within frameworks such as ISO27001, NIST or similar.
• Significant experience in IT security.
• Financial services or e-commerce experience preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with firewall technologies.
• Knowledge of cloud security standards and solutions.
• CISSP (achieved or in progress) desirable.
