What you will do

• Perform end-to-end month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities for consolidated legal entities.
• Analyze and process GL, AP, and AR transactions while resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Ensure accuracy of financial data in strict accordance with US GAAP and company policies.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors to provide necessary documentation and explanations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to streamline accounting workflows and implement effective internal controls.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and suggest creative solutions to complex financial accounting issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Audit.
• 2+ years of professional experience in financial management, reporting, or audit.
• Proven proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills.
• Strong English language proficiency (reading, writing, listening, speaking).
• Must be legally authorized to work and currently based in Portugal.

Nice to have

• Prior experience at a Big 4 accounting firm.
• CPA certification.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP, SOX compliance, or NetSuite/Airbase.
• Experience in fintech, crypto, or multinational startup environments.
